Terms of Service

Last Updated: April 21, 2026

Plain-language heads-up: we're a small team and these terms are a straightforward draft written in-house. They haven't been reviewed by a lawyer yet. By using Phended you agree to them, but if anything here is ambiguous or unfair in your jurisdiction, please email support@phended.com and we'll sort it out.

Who this applies to

These terms govern your use of phended.com, learn.phended.com, dave.phended.com, and any other Phended site or service (together, the "Services"). By visiting, reading, enrolling, or chatting, you agree to these terms.

Accounts

Most of Phended is free to read without an account. If you enroll in a course, we may ask for an email. If you create an account, please give us accurate information and keep your login details private. You're responsible for what happens under your account.

Our content

Phended's blog posts, course lessons, guides, playbooks, and Dave's responses are our work. You're welcome to read, share, and link. Please don't copy large portions verbatim, sell our content, or repackage it as your own. If you want to use a substantial excerpt for a legitimate reason (teaching, journalism, research), email us and we're usually happy to say yes.

Your content

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas, you're giving us permission to use them to improve Phended. We won't attribute anything to you without asking first.

Using Phended responsibly

Please don't:

  • Break the law while using our Services
  • Pretend to be someone you aren't
  • Try to break into, overload, or scrape our systems
  • Share your account credentials
  • Use our Services to harm or harass other people

Dave (our AI helper)

Dave is a large language model and can be wrong. Treat his answers as a starting point and verify anything that really matters with a second source (a reputable outlet, a government advisory, a professional).

Phended is not legal, financial, or professional advice

Phended's content is educational. If you're dealing with a real incident (fraud loss, identity theft, a data breach at work), please also contact the relevant authority, your bank, or a qualified professional. Canadian readers: the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre is a good first call. US readers: the FBI's IC3.

Paid services

Some team and business features may require payment. By subscribing, you agree to pay the fees in effect at the time of purchase. We'll always show you what you're paying before you confirm.

Termination

You can close your account any time by emailing support@phended.com. We may suspend or close an account if we believe it's being used to break these terms or harm others.

No warranties, limited liability

Phended is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it working, accurate, and safe, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service, complete accuracy, or security against every possible threat. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Phended and anyone involved with it will not be liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services.

Jurisdiction

Phended is operated from British Columbia, Canada. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia. If there's a dispute we can't resolve through conversation, it should be brought in the courts of British Columbia.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we make meaningful changes we'll note it in the "Last Updated" date above and, for significant changes, send an email to account holders.
