Short version: we use the minimum cookies needed to run Phended, plus optional analytics to see which posts people read. You can decline non-essential cookies from our banner and your choice is stored across phended.com, learn.phended.com, and dave.phended.com.
What cookies actually do
Cookies are small text files a site saves in your browser. Most sites use them to remember you between pages or visits. Some are necessary for the site to work at all; others are optional and used for analytics or personalization.
What we use
Essential cookies (always on)
phended_consent: remembers your cookie choice across our three subdomains. Without this we'd ask you every single visit. Stored for 1 year.- Session cookies: keep you signed in while you're using Phended Learn. Cleared when you close your browser or sign out.
- CSRF / security cookies: used briefly during sign-in flows.
These can't be turned off in the banner because the site breaks without them.
Analytics cookies (optional, off by default)
- Google Analytics (
_ga,_ga_*): helps us see which posts and courses people actually read. We use IP anonymization and Consent Mode v2, so nothing is reported until you say yes.
You can turn these on or off any time from the cookie banner. Declining analytics doesn't change what Phended offers you. We just learn less about what's working.
Third parties
We don't set marketing or advertising cookies. We don't use Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any ad-network tracking. The embedded Dave widget loads from dave.phended.com under the same shared consent.
How to change your mind
- On our banner: click "Customize" to toggle analytics on or off.
- In your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Links from the browser makers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
If you block essential cookies, you'll keep seeing the banner and won't be able to sign in to Phended Learn.
Changes to this policy
If we add new cookies we'll update this page and the "Last Updated" date at the top.
